Two-factor authentication and recovery

With two-factor authentication enabled, sign-in requires both the password and a code from an authenticator app. Setup finishes after the first code is verified. One-time recovery codes are provided afterward.

Authenticator setup secret

Scan the QR code in an authenticator app or enter the setup secret manually. Anyone with a copy of the QR code can generate the same codes, so do not send or store the image in an unprotected location.

Current verification code

The first six-digit code confirms that the app was configured correctly. Tetri will then ask for a new code during sign-in and protected changes such as updating the password or email.

Recovery codes outside the authenticator device

Each recovery code works once. Store them in a password manager or another protected location you can access without the phone.

What changes after activation

Disabling two-factor authentication requires a valid code. Afterward, access depends on your password, passkeys, and linked services, so check those methods separately.
