Workspace currencies and base currency

Wallet currencies and original transaction amounts do not change during conversion. Tetri uses the rate for the transaction date when it needs a converted value. Currency settings control which currencies are available and which base currency is used to total balances, budgets, and reports.

Base currency

Net worth, budgets, and plans are totaled in the base currency. Changing it does not alter wallet currencies or old transaction amounts.

Enabled currencies

Only enabled currencies appear in forms for new records. Disabling a currency removes it from those lists but does not change existing wallets or transactions.

Custom currency fields

Code, symbol, name, type, and decimal places control how amounts are entered and displayed. A supported crypto asset can use a CoinGecko ID to retrieve market rates.

Missing exchange rates

Tetri needs an exchange rate for the transaction date to convert an amount into the base currency. Add a manual rate when no automatic rate is available.
