Financial notifications and thresholds

Notifications can cover budget and balance changes, import errors, upcoming payments and tax due dates, and other members' actions. Channels and thresholds are configured separately for each event.

Notification purpose

A notification is worth enabling when it leads to a specific task, such as fixing an import, funding an upcoming payment, checking a budget, or replying to a member. Other events can remain in app history.

Notification channels

An in-app notification is visible only after sign-in. Email and bot messages can appear on a lock screen, so they should not include amounts or details that need to stay private.

Optional notification thresholds

A threshold sets the amount, budget percentage, or delay that triggers a warning. If it is too low, frequent alerts can hide the ones that need attention.

Notification review

Review notifications after adding an integration or obligation or changing member roles. An event can be turned off or limited to in-app delivery when it no longer needs immediate attention.
