What the first setup does
The first setup prepares the workspace for real financial data. Tetri saves every completed step. If the page is closed, setup continues from the unfinished step.
- Confirm email. This address is used for sign-in and account recovery.
- Add a name and photo. Both fields are optional.
- Choose a primary currency. Tetri uses it for combined totals.
- Choose categories. They will be used in reports and budgets.
- Import a statement. This step is optional and can be completed later.
- Open the dashboard. Check the first accounts and transactions.
What can be skipped
Name, photo, starter categories and statement import can wait. Email confirmation and primary currency are required to complete the account setup.
A simple first setup
Start with the currency used for everyday decisions, one account and a small category list. Import one statement and check several transactions. Budgets and recurring payments can be added after the records look correct.
Example. Set GEL as primary, import a USD salary account in USD and keep the first categories limited to rent, groceries and transport. More detail can be added later.
