Import a bank statement into Tetri

Import CSV, Excel, OFX, QFX or MT940 statements with a preview, currency check, duplicate detection and rollback.

What statement import does

Import adds existing bank history without entering every transaction by hand. Tetri reads the file and shows a preview before any records are created.

Supported files

CSV, Excel XLSX or XLS, OFX or QFX, and MT940 files are supported. Choose the real currency of the bank account before upload.

Import a statement

  1. Choose the account currency.
  2. Select the file.
  3. Check the detected format and bank.
  4. Compare several dates, descriptions and amounts with the statement.
  5. Check duplicates and errors.
  6. Confirm the import.

Example. The workspace uses GEL, but the statement belongs to a USD card. Select USD for the imported account. Tetri will keep those transactions in USD.

Duplicates

Rows that match existing transactions are marked and skipped. If every row is a duplicate, the import cannot be confirmed.

Check the result

The result shows imported rows, duplicates and errors separately. Open the target account and check several transactions after import.

If the import is wrong

Use import history to roll it back. Correct the account currency or parser and import the file again. This is safer than editing many incorrect rows by hand.
