Category spending by month

Heatmap rows are categories, columns are months, and color represents spending. Open any cell to check a one-time spike, a repeated seasonal expense, or missing categorization.

Color scale and selected range

Color intensity compares cells inside the selected range. The exact amount is shown in the cell and may still be small when every other amount is smaller.

Seasonal categories and high-spend months

Bright cells in the same row and season can indicate a recurring annual expense. A bright column shows a month when several categories increased together.

Transactions behind a heatmap cell

A cell total is the sum of specific transactions. Open the list to find a duplicate, wrong category, or one large purchase.

Empty cells and missing data

An empty cell can mean no spending, a missing import, or transactions without a category. Check import history and uncategorized transactions separately.
