Comparable expense periods
Use periods of the same length with data from the same wallets. An annual bill, travel, or a missing statement can change the comparison substantially.
Amount and percentage change
The amount shows the actual change in spending. The percentage shows its size relative to the earlier period. Both values appear together.
Categories with the largest change
Open the categories with the largest differences and check their transactions before changing a budget or recurring payment.
Transfers, refunds, and expense totals
A transfer between your own wallets is not an expense. A refund should reduce the related expense instead of appearing as new income.
