Budgets, recurring payments, and savings goals

Planning contains budgets, recurring income and payments, savings goals, and the balance forecast. Budgets track spending against limits, schedules add expected income and payments to the forecast, and goals show how much has been saved and how much remains.

Recorded data and future plans

Transactions and wallet balances record money that has already moved. Budgets, schedules, goals, and scenarios describe the future and do not change an actual wallet balance until a transaction is recorded.

Rules that change the forecast

Open a forecast amount to find the budget, recurring payment, goal, or scenario it came from. Correct the amount or date there.

Forecast limits

The forecast uses current balances and the plans entered in Tetri. Update an income, payment, or date when it changes. The chart does not guarantee that money will arrive or be spent.

A shared household plan in one workspace

Members of a shared workspace see the same wallets, budgets, and goals. Their role determines whether they can only view the plan or also change it.
