Wallet name
The name appears in balances, transaction forms, reports, imports, and shared workspaces. Use the same name you see in your banking app so the wallet is easy to find. The icon and color do not affect calculations.
Wallet type
An asset holds money you own. A credit card or loan records money you owe. A source-only wallet identifies where transactions came from without keeping a balance. The selected type determines which fields and calculations are available.
Opening balance and currency
Enter the current balance in the account currency instead of converting it by hand. Tetri keeps the original amount and applies exchange rates only when it calculates a combined balance or report. A multi-currency account can have more than one balance.
Credit card or loan terms
For a credit card, you can add the limit, statement day, grace period, interest rate, and minimum payment. For a loan, you can add the repayment type, rate, term, and payment dates. Tetri uses these fields to forecast future payments. Leave unknown values empty and add them later.
Wallet group
Groups organize wallets by bank, purpose, household, or project in the list. A group does not combine balances, transaction histories, or permissions. Wallets also work without one.
Name, type, currency, and opening balance
Before saving, compare the wallet type, currency, and opening balance with the bank or the cash you have on hand. You can add or change the group, icon, color, and credit terms later.
