Create savings goals in Tetri

Connect a target to real wallet balances, understand pace and deadlines, and separate planned from automatic contributions.

What a goal stores

A goal has a target amount and currency. It can also have a deadline, linked wallet and planned monthly contribution.

Why the wallet matters

When a wallet is linked, goal progress comes from its real balance. Tetri does not require a manually entered progress percentage.

Example. The target is EUR 3,000 and the linked wallet holds EUR 1,200. Progress is 40%. If the wallet balance changes, progress changes with it.

Create a goal

  1. Open Planning → Goals.
  2. Enter the name, target and currency.
  3. Add a deadline if needed.
  4. Link the wallet where the savings are kept.
  5. Add a planned monthly contribution.

Planned and automatic contributions

A planned contribution is used only in the forecast. It does not move money. Auto-contribution creates a real recurring transfer from a source wallet to the wallet linked with the goal.

Pace and deadline

When enough history exists, Tetri calculates the pace from recent net inflows and estimates a completion date. If a deadline is set, the goal shows whether the current pace is enough.

Complete a goal

A goal can be marked achieved or abandoned. It remains in the history and can be found through the status filter.
