Tax profile name
Include the tax regime, year, or income source in the name so this tax profile is easy to distinguish from drafts and profiles for earlier periods.
Jurisdiction and description
Jurisdiction and description do not affect the amounts. Use them to record the country or authority, reporting purpose, and source of the tax profile rules.
Reporting period and payment deadline
A reporting period can be monthly, quarterly, or annual. The due date can be a fixed day of the month or a number of days after the period ends.
Reporting currency and exchange-rate source
Original transaction amounts do not change. Tetri converts them into the tax profile currency at the rate for the transaction date when calculating taxable income and the final estimate.
Activate the tax profile
After activation, current estimates and obligations use this tax profile. The previous active tax profile is deactivated. A draft can remain inactive until you finish checking it.
Transaction classification
Classification rules determine which transactions enter taxable income and which income type each transaction belongs to. Separate conditions should distinguish salary, business income, refunds, and transfers between your own accounts.
Tax rates and brackets
A tax profile can use one rate for all taxable income or different rates for several ranges. The ranges must not overlap or leave gaps.
Deductions, conditions, and caps
Each deduction specifies the qualifying transactions, its limit, and whether it reduces taxable income or the tax amount. The verification page shows the deduction used for each period and the resulting estimate.
Tax profile review and verification
After configuring the rules, open the tax estimate verification page. It lists the transactions, rates, and deductions used in the final amount and any information still missing from the calculation.
