Tetri is in open beta: what that means — Tetri blog
Tetri is open. Sign-up is free, with no waitlist and no card. It's an open beta, and it's worth being upfront about what that means.
Who builds it
One developer. Not a startup with a funding round and a marketing department, but a person who uses the product every day and writes about the process openly. There's a downside: some things ship slower than they would with a team of twenty. And an upside: every decision is made deliberately, not "because we agreed to it in sprint planning".
What "beta" means
That features will change, evolve and sometimes break. The interface updates with almost every release. If something looks and works a certain way today, it may be different in a month — usually better.
But "beta" does not apply to the safety of your data. Financial records aren't a draft you can afford to lose. Servers in Germany, daily backups, isolation per account. The data is treated seriously, even when the buttons are treated as experiments.
What already works
Multi-currency accounts, net worth in one base-currency number, rates from the ECB and NBG pinned to each transaction.
Logging transactions in the app and through the Telegram bot, with no ten-field forms.
Statement import (CSV, Excel, OFX/QFX, MT940) with preview, duplicate checks and rollback. Drebedengi history moves over directly.
Categories, budgets, subscriptions and recurring payments.
15 ready-made reports: trends, heatmaps, anomalies, net worth over time.
What's in the works
A day-by-day cash-flow forecast, tax estimates, a rules engine for auto-categorization, and an iOS app (in private beta for now). All of it is arithmetic and rules, no neural networks. Tetri doesn't send financial data to external AI services, and the number of such calls is exactly zero.
About money
Free is genuinely free: no trial, no expiry. Pro lifts the limits for $6/month or $48/year. The first hundred early users (Founding 100) are taken — they got lifetime Pro for free, and there are no seats left.
What there won't be
Promises to "change your life" or "reach financial freedom". Tetri just records money, works out the rates and shows the picture. The rest is up to you.
